Yoga Calligraphy!

Albert Stern

I have been doing a lot of yoga lately. So I found myself enchanted by the artwork of Andrew Fox. Mr. Fox is an illustrator, graphic designer, and calligraphist. He created a beautiful set of yoga poses in calligraphy.

David Byrne and When to Resist Technology

Albert Stern

I bumped into this short video of David Byrne discussing music, creativity, and technology. The death of Prince has made me think it is important to listen to the creative giants while we can. While I never have been a huge fan of Mr. Byrne's music, I can absolutely be in awe of the scope of his creative power. I really enjoyed listening to his thoughts on the state of music and technology.

My favorite quote from this discussion -

"The technology pushes us in a certain direction and we have to know, creatively, when to resist that. "

It is a quick, yet delightful discussion.
